Good and Solid depiction of a different time

I truly enjoyed this little movie which gave what seemed a quite realistic view on the hardship endured by the convicts and accompanying soldiers a like when Australia was first colonized.

Having read about the many comments of the graphic scenes I must say I was a bit disappointed and surprised as what was shown seemed less graphic than in the average movie of the past 20 years.... a few pieces of bare skin and some indicative 'movements' was pretty much it. Maybe the other reviewers belong to the new wave of puritanism that seems to be spreading particularly in the US...? interested to hear a bit elaboration from those who were so taken a back ?

It was well acted and it was nice to see that both the convicts and soldiers were shown as human i.e. with good and more dark sides forming a more realistic picture than many period films where the characters are often entirely good or bad.

Without disclosing anything was I disappointed with the rather abrupt ending leaving too much for the viewer to assume - considering it is based on a true story it is natural to want to know a bit more as to what followed. This is my main reason for giving 3 rather than 4 Stars

Graphic Sex Scene.

I did not notice that this movie was rated-R until after I bought it because Amazon's computer suggested this movie along with some G-rated Disney movies and the picture on the cover looks like a PG-movie. This movie has a graphic sex-scene which is disappointing.

Good Workout

I did all three segments of this video and was overall pleased with the workout. I was surprised that a step was needed for the legs section, I just used a phonebook instead. The abs workout is great, the instructor fun, however alot of times she says she is going to demonstrate but really you are supposed to follow along. This is not for beginners.

Difficult to follow exercies on DVD

I own three of TamiLee's other DVD's and am very pleased. This one is more complicated, on a more advanced level, and requires better advanced instruction than is given. I am an exercise enthusiast and it was confusing for me, while her previous DVD's were very clearly explained

Awesome , a must have

This is excellent body toning DVD. I have always been Tamilee's fan.

I loved specially the upper body and buns section and her calm voice and talk makes it even better.

I liked the abs section too, just need to add that to my routine as well.

A must have for a good body toning workout.

A gorgeous and funny production. Eric Idle as The Lord High Executioner and Richard Angas as The Mikado are both utterly preposterous. Never mind the three little maids from school! Never mind the impossible setting of an upper-crust, English tennis club. Scandalously delightful and superbly performed.

The audio quality could be better. But this is a once in a lifetime performance. Well worth collecting.

GREAT PRODUCTION

As an avid G&S fan for the past 16 years, I can say I loved this production. I did not like the mis-en-scene, but the orchestra, enunciation, and acting where WONDERFUL. Highly recommended for G&S fans!!

Poor Gilbert! He must have turned over in his grave every day since this monstrosity was created.

Removing the opera from Japan and dressing the characters in British 1920s formal attire takes Mikado out of context, and renders it humorless and senseless.

Gilbert was a genius. The creator of this perversion is not!
