First purchase from Amazon - DVD 'As time goes by'

Unfortunately I am unable to provide a review of the DVD, as it will not play in my DVD player. I feel very fololish in ordering a DVD and not making sure it was compatible with Eurpoean DVD players...my first try, but unsuccesful, so now I need to find a way of returning and re-ordering...help!! I suppose I am wonderring whether this process is really worth the trouble or not...
